Member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Hon. Benjamin Kalu has called on those throwing vituperations at former governor of the state and Senator representing Abia North, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu are exposing the state to chaos and insecurity, warning that they must desist if they truly love the state.

While stating that the state governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu does not support insults against any leader, he called on those planning to stage a protest against Sen. Kalu instead of hosting a street party over the victory of the PDP in the recent Aba North/South Federal Constituency bye-election to have a rethink.

He spoke on Tuesday on a radio programme Ben Kanu Mandate, streamed by ABN TV and Radio

Describing Governor Ikpeazu as a friend, Hon. Kalu said the governor holds the same ideology of respecting and honouring leaders as Sen. Kalu who never supports abuse against leaders, calling on the Governor’s aides to stop instigating crisis in the state.

I must say this, these three personalities, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, Sen. T.A Orji, and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, we must stop dragging their names to the mud. It doesn’t make them look good before their mates across the nation.

These are elders, leaders, the only people we will run to when we need something done in our region. If we end up messing up the names of our leaders, who are we going to present? If you really love your governor, you should not go about thinking of how to protest against a former governor in his region” he said.

While urging those attempting to make the state what he called state of hooligans to have a rethink, Hon. Benjamin Kalu insisted that all hands must be on deck to build the state.

According to the lawmaker, those planning to stage a protest against Sen. Kalu will also incur the wrath of his own supporters who may want to protest against the governor, saying this is not in the interest of the state.

He cautioned those planning to go to Abia North, home of Sen. Kalu to protest to desist or have themselves to blame.

While maintaining that he has resisted the temptation of insulting Sen. T.A Orji or governor Ikpeazu despite huge reasons to do so due to the tutelage he received from his political mentor, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, he warned that further insult on the Abia North Senator by those seeking to please the governor will not be tolerated.
