Hon. Stanley Obinna Agbai, founder of the Stanley Agbai Foundation, has commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, for his significant contributions to the development of Bende Local Government Area, particularly in Ozuitem.
During a recent visit to his hometown, Agbai inspected several ongoing infrastructure projects facilitated by Kalu and praised his dedication to improving the lives of the people of Bende. According to Agbai, the lawmaker’s efforts have already yielded tangible benefits for residents, demonstrating his commitment to effective representation.

Construction of a 5.5-kilometer road linking Uzuakoli to Agbua Ozuitem, enhancing connectivity within Bende.
Installation of a solar-powered borehole with a water treatment plant in Agbua Community, ensuring access to clean drinking water.
Building of three classroom blocks and an office at Ozuitem Secondary School, improving the educational environment for students.
Employment of six Ozuitem natives as legislative aides, providing job opportunities for locals.
Ongoing construction of a 2-kilometer road in Elu la Agbor, Amaeke Isiegbu, improving inter-community transportation.
Borehole construction with a reticulated tank in Isiegbu Ozuitem, further addressing water accessibility issues.
Reconstruction of three classroom blocks with two offices in Akpukwa Primary School and ongoing renovations at Enemba Primary School.
Beyond infrastructure, Agbai highlighted Kalu’s legislative achievements, noting that the Deputy Speaker has sponsored over 100 bills and motions aimed at improving governance and the welfare of Nigerians.
Addressing recent criticism directed at Kalu over water access in Ozuitem, Agbai dismissed allegations made on social media, describing them as the work of “jobless political irritants.” He reaffirmed that Kalu’s efforts in providing clean water to the community are well-documented and appreciated by the people of Ozuitem.
Reflecting on Bende’s political landscape, Agbai emphasized that Kalu has set a new standard for representation, demonstrating that a lawmaker can drive real development at the grassroots level. He contrasted Kalu’s leadership with past representatives, asserting that the Deputy Speaker has reawakened political consciousness in Bende by delivering impactful projects.
