Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, pledged on Monday to ensure the completion of the long-awaited Ibom Deep Seaport in order to boost economic activity in the state.
Tinubu stated that Akwa Ibom people would not suffer again, adding that the state was endowed with abundant water resources to support the establishment of a deep seaport.
The former Lagos State governor made the remarks while speaking to a large crowd at the presidential campaign rally at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
“We’ll do mechanized farming,” he said. Akwa Ibom food will be exported.
“We’ll build your Deep Seaport. I have completed the Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos.”
“Akwa Ibom people will not suffer again. Nigerians will not suffer again.”
