The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State for the 2027 general election, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, has said his commitment to the welfare of the people is what sets him apart from other contenders in the race.
Speaking during a media parley with journalists in Umuahia, Anosike described himself as “a welfareist,” stressing that the well-being of Abians would be the central focus of his administration if elected governor.
Responding to a question on what distinguishes his candidacy from others, Anosike said, “I am a welfareist. People first.”
He added that his vision is anchored on improving the standard of living of citizens through enhanced workers’ welfare, job creation, quality healthcare, education and social protection programmes.
The PDP governorship candidate also reaffirmed his campaign slogan, “Anosike Ga Eme Karia,” expressing confidence in his ability to deliver better governance for the people of Abia State.
