The Headquarters of the 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Ohafia, has notified residents of Ohafia and neighbouring communities in Abia State of a scheduled day and night shooting exercise at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Shooting Range.

According to a public advisory issued by the Brigade, the military training exercise is scheduled to run from October 5 to October 15, 2026, beginning from 9:00 a.m.

The Army explained that the exercise is part of routine military training designed to enhance the operational efficiency, marksmanship and combat readiness of participating soldiers.

Residents have therefore been urged not to panic when they hear gunshots from the shooting range during the exercise, as the activities will be conducted within a controlled and secured environment.
