The President General Of Ebem Ohafia Development Union (EODU), Chief Emeka Mba (Bam Bam) has won the prestigious outstanding performance award as Best Community Union President of the Year 2023.
The award was presented to him by Teen Strength committee, led by Hum. Michael Idika during the Igba Ekpe and New Yam Festival celebration of Ebem Ohafia Community on Saturday, 2nd September 2023 at Ebem Ohafia in Ohafia LGA, Abia State.
The committee said Chief Emeka was singled out for the award in recognition of his achievements in the growth and development of Ebem Ohafia as the President General of the Union, including his unrelenting commitment to human capital development and educational empowerment of the community.
According to the management of Teen Strength, the choice of Chief Emeka for Outstanding Performance award was basically on empirical facts and indisputable statistics on the transformation that Ebem Ohafia and her people had witnessed under his watch since assumption of office.
In response, the President General (EODU), Chief Emeka Mba described his latest award as a challenge to impact more on humanity just as he dedicated it to the people of Ebem Ohafia for giving him the opportunity to prove that administration can be done better with utmost fear of God and for the sake of humanity.
