The Director General of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Abia State, Chief Charles Ogbonnaya has charged members of the PDP in Abia State to come out in their numbers to welcome the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his Recovery Nigerian Team to the PDP Presidential Campaign Rally on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at The UmuahiaTownship Stadium.

The Director of Media & Publicity, Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Abia State, Kingsley Megwara announced this in a statement on Thursday.

Kingsley Megwara, Confirming the coming of the presidential candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar to Abia state, said; “Our Presidential candidate, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar will be at the Umuahia Township stadium by 10am tomorrow”

Chief Charles Ogbonnaya charged PDP faithful and leaders during the meeting with all the LGA Chairmen, Atiku/Okowa LGA Coordinators, Members of the PCC State and National, The state youth and women leader, Leaders of Hausa community Aba and Umuahia, Representatives of Atiku Approved Pro Groups, Representatives of the physically challenged and other important PDP Stakeholders in the state.

Chief Ogbonnaya in the meeting told the party members that every PDP member must be present at the Rally on Saturday to show love and solidarity to our Presidential Candidate and his running mate.

According to the release, responding to what the DG said, the state PDP Chairman, Chief Asiforo Okere appealed to PDP family in Abia to come out on time, especially our youths and women to welcome our August visitors.

Elder Sam Ohuabunwa, Chief Emeh Okoro, and other party leaders implored everybody to campaingn and support Atiku for the good of Abia and Nde Igbo.

The Deputy Governor of the state who doubles as the State PCC Chairman, RT Hon Ude Okochukwu urged the Abia PDP family to support and vote for Atiku, as he is the only hope to rescue Nigeria for now.

“All the PDP members in Abia are looking forward to the coming of Atiku to Umuahia, on Saturday, 11th of February, 2023”, he stated.

The rally had earlier been postponed.

This is the first visit of Atiku since the emergence of Okey Ahiwe as the governorship candidate of the party in Abia.

The last governorship rally was hosted by G-5 Governors.
