Abia State government says it would honour Dr. Sammie Echem with the award of Ambassador of Arts in the upcoming end-of-year get-together.
This is contained in a letter signed by the Director of Culture in the state Mrs. Okezie Folakemi.
The end-of-year get-together scheduled to hold on Dec. 19 is being organised by the ministry of information and culture.
It says the presentation of the award to distinguished personalities is one of the activities lines up for the day.
It is in recognition of his contributions towards the promotion of culture in the society.
The letter addressed to Dr. Echem and dated Dec. 1 reads in part, “The Department Culture in Ministry of Information and Culture will celebrating their 2023 end of the year get together and one of the events lined up for the day is presentation of award to deserving distinguished personalities.
“Sir, due to your unparallel contributions to the promotion and propagation of Culture in our society, you have been distinctly selected as a recipient of the award of AMBASSADOR OF ARTS in Abia State.”
Venue of the event is Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat, Block A, (4h Floor), Ministry of Information and Culture while time is 11am.
