Full Name: Beauty Etsanyi Tukura

Beauty has done an impressive job of living up to her name. The 24-year-old lawyer from Taraba State was crowned Miss Nigeria in 2019, becoming the country’s 43rd beauty to win the pageant.

She also held the ‘Most Beautiful Girl Taraba’ title, from 2015 to 2017.

Beauty describes herself as a generous, open, reliable free-spirit and believes if she puts her mind to anything, she surely will achieve it. One of the lowest points in her life is when she had to rewrite the Nigerian Bar Exams after failing the first time. As the last born of four siblings, Beauty enjoys the love, constant guidance and unwavering support this position affords her.

Why Big Brother Naija? “I love a good challenge, and I am very entertaining. Most importantly, I need the platform to further build my brand as Beauty Tukura. I know that being in the House will change my life and I am ready for that change and all that it comes with,” she says.

Although Beauty may drink a little too much at times, she’s still a 10! She hopes her authenticity and her strategy to “go with the flow” will carry her to the end.

Full Name: Henry Olisaemeka Orakwue   Artist, fashion entrepreneur, and model Groovy, is an ambitious 26-year-old from Anambra State. He has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos and loves working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
He describes himself as “a positive, self-sufficient, supportive person” and believes his winning mentality never fails to push him and those around him to greater heights.
Groovy reckons his argumentative nature could rub his fellow Housemates up the wrong way. “I don’t back down if I feel I’m right about something, unless the facts state I’m wrong. I’m also very principled, so I hardly bend my will to please others, unless it’s the right thing to do.
He has been running a clothing and accessories business for the past four years, and also dabbles in music, and feels Big Brother Naija will help him make a name for himself.
“I want to be famous, wealthy, influential and powerful. I want to be a voice for change in my country and in the world and this show is the platform to showcase who I am, and who I can be to the world.

Groovy plans to take it to the next level by being as fun and entertaining as possible.

He has no plans to break any of Biggie’s rules. Let’s wait to see if he sticks to his word.

How To Watch BBNaija Season 7 On GOTV, Other Platforms

Big Brother Naija will return for its seventh season today with a double launch show.

The double launch show will be on Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24, 2022.

The show will also retain its voting style from last year. Voting will only be on the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, and the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps for active customers.

The double launch shows, according to the organisers, will air from 7 pm on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban and Africa Magic Family channels and the 24-hour show on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returns as the host for this season, making it his sixth consecutive year of hosting the reality TV show.

Some fans and viewers of the reality show have expressed their inability to view the show on GOTV.

Here is how to watch BBNaija live on GOTV and other platforms:

Subscribers of GOTV can watch Big Brother Naija on channel 29 which is available to GOtv Max and Jolli packages.

Big Brother Naija season 7 is broadcasting live on GOTV on channel 29 with the live eviction shows and weekly highlights will be shown on the Africa Magic Family channel.

If you are having issues watching the show on GOTV, all you need to do is go to the MENU button on your GOTV remote control, press the Advance option, and then press installation and then reset, after that press OK. After which you wait for a few minutes while it reinstalls, you can then go to channel 29 and start watching the BBNaija show live.

Here comes the countdown to the seventh season of the Big Brother Naija show, which will hold at about 7pm (WAT) on Saturday.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host, will declare open the new Season.

The seventh edition promises to be full of love triangles, heated exchanges, shock evictions and intense competition.

There are some new development and of course new things to excite their fans, one of which, “There will be no ‘shower hour’ in this season of Big Brother Naija”. The headline sponsor of Big Brother Naija season 7, is Pocket by PiggyVest (formerly Abeg), and the associate sponsor is flutterwave.

Here are 5 things to expect as Season seven BBNaija premieres tonight:

– The season 7 double launch will air on July 23 and 24, 2022 across all Africa Magic stations on GOtv and DStv. The theme for this season which is yet to be revealed will be unveiled during the live show by the host, Ebuka.

The Executive director of Alex Otti Foundation, Dr. Alex Otti on Saturday announced that the organisation has selected 26 beneficiaries for sponsorship throughout their university education.

He stated this in his remarks at a banquet organised in honour of the beneficiaries in Umuahia, Abia State capital.

The Senator representing Abia North, Orji Kalu, has said he was a very wealthy man before venturing into politics and could quit his position in the Nigerian Senate anytime.

Kalu said that by 1982, only the late President Shehu Shagari had the latest Mercedez Benz car as him in Nigeria.

In a post on his verified Facebook page today, the former Abia State governor said he spent the money he earned from his private businesses on politics.

Kalu, who governed Abia State between 1999 and 2007 and is currently the Senate Chief Whip, revealed that he gifted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) N500 million, and another N100 million for its presidential campaign in 1998.

Kalu, who wrote today from his United States home, said many people thought he was into money rituals in the early 1980s because of his immense wealth.

He said, “Unfortunately, things haven’t changed much today; people still think that you wake up and make money without working for it.

“People should stop entertaining the blackmails that money is OUK’s (Orji Uzor Kalu’s) motivating factor in politics. If it’s actually about money as propagated, then I already have all I would ever need.

“While I was governor, I never bought a new home. I have lost more money being into politics. I took over from a military administrator, and those who knew the condition of Abia before 1999 will have a better understanding of the level of work we did before leaving government in 2007.”

He said he stayed away from politics after he ended his tenure as a governor before returning and getting elected into the Senate in 2019.

He added that his return into politics had changed the Abia North, which he claimed was already “going into trenches” before his election.

“As of today, I can decide to even resign as a senator because I spend my private money to make up a lot of things while serving the people.

“Nigeria is, unfortunately, a country where people who have done no business except holding public office are hailed, while those who have worked hard all their lives creating wealth and employing people are called names.

“Imagine expecting a man who bankrolled PDP in 1998 with N500m to the party and N100m to the presidential candidate of the party to be hungry?

“I became an employer of labour at an early age and have steadily continued to be. I have worked hard all my life, and the best you can do is to study people and try to be better than them. For, the life we live is not for ourselves alone, but for God and to then accommodate other people,” he said.

He was a member of the PDP.

A gang of armed men stormed the lawmaker’s residence in his hometown, Bannga, in the early hours of Saturday, shooting his son and whisking him away before killing him a few hours after.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa Command Superintendent of Police Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident.

According to him, the security agencies are doing everything possible to apprehend the perpetrators and the Police are investigating the killing.

Bakano was until his death the deputy leader of Song Local Government Council. He represented Gudu Mboi Ward in the Council.

Although investigations are ongoing, there are speculations that he was assassinated.

His son who was shot in the process is receiving treatment at a hospital.

Adamawa has witnessed a number of attacks and killings recently.

The killing of Bakano is the latest in that trend and occurs a few weeks after a lecturer with the Adamawa state polytechnic was killed by gunmen in his residence in Girei Local Government of Adamawa State.

On July 6, gunmen attacked the home of Reverend Daniel Umaru of Church of The Brethren, Njairi in Mubi LGA shooting the pastor, killing two of his sons, and abducting his 13-year-old daughter.

A former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday challenged Nigerian youths to get up and take over leadership positions.

Obasanjo said this on Saturday during a special interview with former Super Eagles star, Segun Odegbami, on his Eagle7 Sports 103.7 FM, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

His charge comes amidst clamour for a younger president ahead of next year’s election.

Obasanjo reiterated his position that youths should always reject the tag of “leaders of tomorrow,” saying the tomorrow may never come.

According to Obasanjo, some corrupt leaders would destroy the so-called tomorrow if the younger generation fails to rise up and take their future in their hands.

“My advice for Nigerian youths is that, never let anybody tell you that you are the leaders of tomorrow. If you wait for tomorrow before you take over leadership, that tomorrow may not come. They will destroy it.

“This is the time, youths get up and make it happen,” Obasanjo said while responding to questions from Odegbami.

Asked to explain his “romance with farming”, Obasanjo said the only thing he did not do by accident in his entire life is farming.

“I don’t like the word you used, ‘romance with farming’. I am a farmer. What do you mean by romance. Everything I have done in my life is by accident. The only thing that is not accidental is farming. Every other thing that I’ve been is by accident. And you called that romance? No! What do you mean by romance?

“You know my beginning. I was born and bred in a village. I went to school by accident. My father just said, ‘won’t you do something different?’ So I went into farming.

“When you look at countries that have made it, they developed on agriculture. First, for the purpose of food security; second, for the purpose of processing what they get from their farms, which is the beginning of industrialisation. Third, to give it out as export, which is for the purpose of foreign exchange; and fourth, as a means of generating employment for the youth.”

On Sunday, Obasanjo played host to the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, in his residence in Abeokuta.

The duo met with Obasanjo in company of the Labour Party (LP) National Chairman, Julius Abure and the Senior Pastor, Trinity House Church, Ituah Ighodalo.

Baba-Ahmed disclosed this and equally shared pictures of the meeting with Obasanjo on his Twitter handle.

He, was, however silent on issues discussed at the meeting.

Co-chair of Interfaith Peace and Dialogue Forum, Bishop Sunday Onuoha, has bemoaned the condition of Abia State, saying that “the state is stinking and needs cleansing”.

Bishop Onuoha who is the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the 2023 poll, said that if voted into power, he would declare prayers and solemn assembly in the first week of his inauguration for a spiritual cleansing of the state.

He said that Abia is know as God’s Own State but regretted that evil leaders had corrupted the state and driven away God’s presence.

The former Presidential Assistant on Privatisation who said the era of timidly had passed, urged Abians to stand up for their rights and accountability from Government.

” Our place is stinking and needs cleansing. God is crying for Abia State, and he wants it cleaned up. We have people with moral deficit.

” We better return Abia to God and remold the state. “

The governorship hopeful who spoke yesterday when he visited an elder statesman, High Chief Obinnaya Nwagbara, in his Ohuhu Umuahia country home, said that the major driving force behind his governorship ambition was to better the lots of the masses.

He argued that public funds should be used for public needs and not to gratify personal desires.

” It’s time to be praying and open your eyes. Public funds must be put in the hands of the public.”

On the disturbingly security challenges, Bishop Onuoha advocated the empowerment of traditional rulers to enable them effectively combat the monster in their various domains, arguing that security votes should be used to handle security.

” If you have security votes but cannot secure your environment, there is no need collecting security votes. Security votes should be extended to traditional rulers to help them secure their communities.”

Bishop Onuoha challenged all those jostling to govern the state to showcase the scorecards of their achievements as private individuals to determine if they are fit to hold public office.

He argued that time had come for Abia to have a paradigm shift and elect leaders based on competence and not by primodial sentiments.

” As a President of Vision Africa, I have attracted investments into the state, creating jobs for youths. Others should show us what they have done and not what they will do”.

He thanked his host as well as the leadership of Oganihu Abia pressure group for endorsing his ambition.
