The Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has procured a pay-loader and grader to support rural road rehabilitation and improve access to farming communities across the constituency.
The lawmaker disclosed that the equipment was acquired as part of his recently concluded empowerment programme aimed at delivering practical development projects that directly impact the daily lives of constituents.
According to Hon. Osonwa, the machines will be deployed for the opening of interlinking farming paths and the execution of palliative works on roads within communities, particularly areas requiring easier access for farmers, traders, and residents.

He explained that the intervention is strictly meant for communities within Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency and will be provided free of charge, while benefiting communities will only be responsible for fueling the machines during operations.
“Our people deserve support that goes beyond promises. That is why I procured these machines to serve our communities and improve access within rural areas,” the lawmaker stated.
Hon. Osonwa urged communities in need of the equipment to submit formal requests to his office for deployment, assuring that the initiative forms part of his broader commitment to ensuring development reaches every part of the constituency.
He emphasized that beyond empowerment programmes, practical infrastructure support remains critical in improving agricultural productivity, easing transportation challenges, and stimulating economic activities at the grassroots.
The development has been welcomed by many residents and stakeholders, who described the initiative as a strategic intervention capable of boosting farming activities and enhancing rural connectivity across Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
