Senate President Godswill Akpabio said on Wednesday that the Parliament will carry out a robust and thorough scrutiny of the 2024 Budget estimate presented to it by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Akpabio said in doing so, the Parliament will ensure that the principles of checks and balance are not compromised.
While describing the President as a Transformation Ambassador, he assured the National Assembly was ready to collaborate with the Executives in achieving its set objective for the nation.
He said while cordial relationship between the Parliament and the Executives was necessary for the success of any government, it was mandatory for the current Parliament to have a cordial relationship with the Executives.
