The Foundation for Environmental Rights, Advocacy and Development (FENRAD) has congratulated media entrepreneur and Director of ABN TV & Radio, Chief Ifeanyi Okali, on his conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy title of “Okwuru Oha” by the Paramount Ruler of Ebem Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, HRH Ezie Ukoha Kalu Ukoha JP.
In a statement issued on April 9, 2026, the Executive Director of FENRAD, Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor, described the honour as well-deserved, noting that it reflects Chief Okali’s unwavering dedication to service, integrity, and community development.
Nwafor, a human rights advocate and environmental justice campaigner from Ebem Ohafia, said the recognition goes beyond ceremonial significance, stressing that it represents a profound acknowledgment of Okali’s contributions to media development, grassroots engagement, youth empowerment, and societal advancement.
“This prestigious title is not merely symbolic; it reflects years of sacrifice, resilience, and a deep-rooted passion for the upliftment of our people,” he stated. “Chief Ifeanyi Okali has consistently demonstrated what it means to be a voice for the voiceless and a bridge between leadership and the grassroots.”
The organization also commended the traditional institution for upholding excellence and rewarding impactful service, adding that such recognition serves as inspiration for emerging leaders to embrace selfless service and community-driven development.
FENRAD further expressed confidence that Chief Okali would continue to uphold the values associated with the title “Okwuru Oha,” leveraging his platform to promote justice, equity, good governance, and sustainable development within Ohafia, Abia State, and beyond.
Nwafor urged the newly installed chief to view the honour as a call to greater responsibility, encouraging him to intensify his advocacy for the welfare of the people and the strengthening of community cohesion.
