Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, choosing instead to pursue opportunities in Europe—potentially with Manchester United.
Al-Hilal were prepared to activate Osimhen’s €75 million (£63.2 million) release clause, valid for clubs outside Serie A, and offered him a staggering salary package worth £25.3 million per year. However, according to Football Italia, the 26-year-old turned down the deal, signaling a clear preference to remain in European football.
Osimhen, who is under contract with Napoli, spent the previous season on loan at Galatasaray, where he delivered a sensational performance—scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances. His prolific form has drawn the attention of several top European clubs, including Manchester United.
The Premier League side, now under the management of Ruben Amorim, is reportedly keeping a close watch on Osimhen’s situation as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Al-Hilal, managed by former Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi, were eager to secure Osimhen’s signature ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup campaign. Despite submitting an improved offer after an initial bid was rejected, the striker again declined, reaffirming his desire to stay in Europe.
