The candidate of Action Peoples Party, APP in Umuahia South, Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Chibuike Samuel Nwachukwu says he has watched how governance has been operated in the state in the last couple of years and is touched to make a visible change for his people’s benefit.

He said as someone born in the United States, he has seen a vacuum in governance that ought to be filled to give the people a feel of good governance, saying he is offering himself to be that change the people crave for.

Speaking on ABN TV’s current affairs programme, Political Perspective, Hon. Nwachukwu said he loves Nigeria and no place is like home, noting that no one can fix Nigeria except Nigerians themselves.

“I have houses all over the world but I choose to stay in my country home because it is the safest place, I love here and the people, here is home and it has to be fixed, no one will do it for us.

“I chose to join in this race for good governance and to help my people and Umuahia South a different look to educate my people for them to understand that we can do better, we have people that are there now but they are not there for us rather they are there for their personal interest“, he stated.

He expressed hope that the upcoming election will provide the people of the constituency the opportunity to get it right even as he stated that the era of imposition of candidate in the constituency is gone.

Democracy if you ask me is government to the people, for the people and by the people so let the people decide who will govern them whatever the will is, is the will of God. Right now it is the time we have to get it right and the proof is there already.

“For the past ten years I have been helping my people both with good roads to ensure that we all enjoy our community to the fullest and the only person to fix here is us no one will do it for us.We are the light and with us here will shine better and brighter“, he stated.
