Another train derailed in Abuja, the federal capital territory (FCT).
When the train veered off the rail tracks, it was only a few minutes away from its destination in Abuja.
The incident occurred on Friday evening in the FCT’s Kubwa district.
It is unclear whether there were any casualties, as the relevant authorities have yet to issue a statement.

“People were just thanking God that it wasn’t on the highway tracks or in the forests,” a local told AbnTV.
The incident occurs only a few days after the Itakpe-Warri train derailed.
The Nigeria Railway Commission is yet to give an official statement.
