What I Told Governor Ikpeazu I Will Do To Aba, Port Harcourt, If Elected President - Peter Obi Reveals

Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, who spoke on Saturday at the Mata Dei Catholic Cathedral in Umuahia during the awarding of scholarships by the Alex Otti Foundation, stated that he had previously explained to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu how Aba, the economic hub of Abia, would be transformed to join Port Harcourt.

“I told Ikpeazu today that if I am elected president, Aba will merge with Port Harcourt and become one metropolis within two years.”

“We can produce and export the same items that are manufactured abroad.” We must compete with the rest of the world.

“The Aba footwear must be exported.” We only need government assistance to export it so that we may make a life.”

Obi also announced that the time had come for patriotic Nigerians to join the ongoing efforts to rescue the country from political hijackers and reconstruct it.

He stated that the high poverty rate in Nigeria is due to the country’s status as a consumer rather than a producer.

Obi stated that Nigeria is richly endowed with a smart and willing youth population but that visionless leaders have stifled the nation’s development.

The young people in this country are full of energy and potential, but the elderly are unwilling to give them space. So, we must provide a space for the young. We must offer possibilities for the impoverished to earn a living in this country.

We cannot continue in this manner! is not our nation! A nation where bread cannot be purchased is not our nation. Our nation needs to be productive. We must reclaim our nation and eradicate poverty! ”

There is excessive waste throughout the system.

People are owed their salaries and pensions, but those responsible are living like celebrities. It’s unjust!

We must make a difference in 2023. “We must reclaim and rebuild our nation”.

He stated that there would be a new Nigeria in which every region would be extremely proud and pleased to be a part of the country, as development would be evenly spread.

Africa, according to Obi, will feel the effects of the huge development that will explode in every region of the country under his watch.
