Despite his ongoing stay in Europe, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains actively involved in the governance of Nigeria, according to a statement from the Presidency.
The statement, issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, clarified that the President’s absence is temporary and within the previously communicated two-week timeframe.
“President Tinubu left Paris for London over the weekend and has maintained constant communication with key government officials,” Onanuga stated. “He continues to oversee national affairs, including issuing directives to security chiefs in response to emerging threats.”
The Presidency assured Nigerians that Tinubu’s return to Abuja will follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday and emphasized that government operations remain uninterrupted.
“The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and his administration continues to function effectively under his leadership,” the statement added.
