All is now set for the public presentation of seven books authored by the chairman Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA Abuja chapter, Halima Usman under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Science and Technology, Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi.
Scheduled to take place Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Musa Yar’Adua Centre Abuja, the event will have as Special Guest of Honour, Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva, Minister of Women Affairs & Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen who will be mother of the day while the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mr. Bitrus Bako Nabasu is the chief host.
Other special guests are Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, Nigerian Ambassador to Republic of Benin, Amb. T. Y. Buratai, former Head of Service, Mr. Danladi Kifasi and Traditional Ruler, Engr. Sale Mohammed, Mai Kaltugo.
Also expected at the event are, Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mal. Mele Kolo Kyari, Director Department of Petroleum Resources, Engr. Sarki Auwulu, Executive Secretary, NCDMD, Engr. Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary Petroleum Technology Development Fund, Dr. Aliyu Bello Gusau, Director General Security & Exchange Commission, Alh. Lamido Yuguda, Director General National Orientation Agency, Dr. Garba Abari, Director General National Energy Commission, Prof. Jiddere Bala, Director-General Industrial Training Fund, ITF Sir Joseph Ari and host of others.
A release made available to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday by the Central Planning Committee says six of the books designed for children seek to entrench a sound and ethical value among young people in the society and also educate them on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Halima Usman who serves as S.A on Special Duties in the office of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Petroleum Resources is also T.A in the office of the Special Adviser on Media in office of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources.
She also has to her credit other books including Spellbound, Sunshine and Waterfalls and Against the Odds, which is one of the books to be launch.
