On the size of the incoming cabinet, he said 20 Commissioners and secretaries to the State Government, all from the 21 local government areas of the state is enough for a state like Anambra, taking a swipe at Abia with over 30 Commissioners and numerous Special Advisers, some of whom he said have no offices.

He said, “These are people who were not just handpicked. They have a track record of service. That is what governance is all about.

“They are hungry to serve. They understand the problems of the state and how to solve them.

“I am also impressed with the comment from the government that they are going to ensure that they have a liveable wage, not a minimum wage.”

He said this will enable the appointees to give in their best in their respective Ministries, describing them as round pegs in round holes.
