The Honorable Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah has congratulated the Muslim faithful on the completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.

Dr. Ogah in a message he personally signed on Sunday and made available to ABN TV, called on Nigerians to continually offer prayers to God as efforts are ongoing to reduce the impact of COVID-19.

Once again, it is that time when the Muslim Faithfuls gather to engage in the occasion of ending the period of Ramadan. Within this period, as a result of prevailing circumstances, we are offered the opportunity to reflect on the blessings of God almighty.

“As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-fitr, we must remember that the current global health situation has changed the way we do things. Even so, we must continue to offer prayers to God even as we sustain all health protocols in our effort to mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic.” he said.

He also enjoined all Muslim Faithful to pay particular heed to the reinforced directive of The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar on this year’s celebration of Eid-el-Fitr while also carrying on with the dictates of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW) as embodied in the Holy Quran.

It is my utmost desire that the blessings of Allah (SWT) shall remain upon the country and may we continually seek to advance the course of peace, togetherness and prosperity for our country, Nigeria and for my home state, Abia.

“May you have a beautiful sallah celebration and may the blessings that emanate from this period of fasting and holiness unto Allah (SWT) provide us all with increasing happiness, togetherness and progress.

“Barka de sallah to our indefatigable leader, President Muhammadu Buhari and all Muslim Faithful around our country.” he concluded.
