At the Ghana Football Awards, Victor Osimhen was named Best African International Player.
The Napoli striker received the most votes, ahead of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez, and Moroccan Yassine Bounou.
Osimhen received the prize for the first time and was the first Nigerian to do so.
This season, the 24-year-old has already won two individual prizes.
The Nigeria international won the Serie A top scorer award and was also named the best striker in the league.
Osimhen is also a strong contender for African Player of the Year.
