BET Awards 2023: Burna Boy Wins Best International Act

Damini Ogulu, a.k.a. Burnaboy, a Nigerian musician, has received the award for Best International Act at the 2023 edition of the Black Entertainment Awards, BET.

The ‘African Giant singer defeated Ayra Starr, Central Cee, and Stormzy, among others, to win the most prestigious title at the BET Awards.

Burna Boy was present at the show when he was proclaimed the winner, but his mother, Bose Ogulu, accepted the prize on his behalf.

Bunaboy has had an incredible last several years.

His 2022 album ‘Love, Damini’ was a global success, and he previously won a BET Award in the same category in 2019 and 2021.

Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola, and others were also nominated in the category.
