Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah has congratulated mothers all over the world as the occasion of Mothering Sunday, describing them as symbol of love and sacrifice.
In a message to felicitate with mothers on Sunday, the former Minister said mothers are life-carriers who have impacted lives in so many ways in love, sacrifice, wisdom, and unwavering support.
He expressed appreciation to mothers for the role they play on nurturing and guiding the society.
According to him, “Therefore, today is a commemoration of all values and virtues associated with good motherhood. It is also, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers and all maternal figures who have played a significant role in nurturing and guiding us.
“As some churches celebrate this year’s Mother’s Day, and with my beloved mother and my lovely wife as a point of contact, I wish all Mothers a happy celebration and God’s blessings.”
He added, “Yes, a mother’s love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible.”
“Yes, a mother’s love is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking. It never fails or falters, even though the heart is breaking”.
“Yes, a mother’s love is the strongest energy known to man”.
