Speaker of the Ninth Lagos Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa (Agege I), has been elected speaker of the 10th Assembly, ABN TV reports.
His emergence followed a nomination and general acceptance by the lawmakers-elect.
Monisola Lasbat (Apapa I), Chief Whip of the Ninth Assembly, was also elected Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly after her nomination and general acceptance by the House.
The elections followed the proclamation of the 10th Assembly by Governor Sanwo-Olu.
