Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, stated on Monday that he supported Tinubu’s decision to eliminate fuel subsidies and the operators’ reaction to the event, assuring Nigerians that there is no need for panic buying.

Kyari stated that the company has enough merchandise to service the country for the next 30 days and that it was constantly evaluating its supply and distribution networks throughout the country.

Previously, Taiwo Oyedele, PwC’s Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader, had counseled the President to add substance to his position on gasoline subsidy elimination.
