Rep. Kalu spoke in defence of the motion after a plethora of voices rose to oppose Rep. Onwusibe’s motion.

He appealed to President Tinubu to use his good office to find lasting solutions to the issues, expressing concern that the continuous detention of Nnamdi Kanu has caused tension in the South East region.

So I urge that the amendment should be, to urge Mr. President to use political intervention, diplomatic intervention, asking for his mercy to release Nnamdi Kanu to enable that zone to find a lasting peace“, he stated.
