Ahead of the June 13 inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to meet with the Senators-Elect of the All Progressives Congress (APC) today, ABN TV reports.

The meeting scheduled for 7pm at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja is expected to address controversies surrounding the party’s choice of leadership for the tenth Senate.

Ever since President Bola Tinubu endorsed Akpabio for Senate President, some other lawmakers, including the Senator representing Abia North, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, and former Organising Secretary of APC, Osita Izunaso have all kicked against the choice.
