Missing Children: Udensi Calls For Proper Documentation Of Tenants, Commercial Vehicles

Interpol Systems Consultant and security expert, Sir Chikwe Udensi has called for the proper documentation of those seeking to rent property as tenants across the country.

He also advocated documentation of all commercial vehicle and motorcycle operators to curtail incidences of missing children across the country.

Featuring on a radio current affairs programme, Open Parliament on Wednesday, Sir Udensi said the growing cases of missing children in Nigeria calls for worry, attributing it to desperation for survival.

At least eight children have been reported missing in Abia State in the past three weeks under controversial circumstances.

First, a tricycle rider, popularly called Keke NAPEP had made away with four children of same parents, when sent to conveyed them to school. His whereabouts is still unknown.

Also, a female tenant last week disappeared with four children of three parents in Ubakala street, barely three days after he packed into the compound.

Reacting to the development, Sir Udensi called on Abia State Government to ensure that all commercial vehicles in the state have identifiable registration as well as those operating the vehicles.

This he said is a normal procedure around the world. He said this would aid investigation whenever cases of Kidnapping through comercial vehicles are recorded.

He said criminality has escalated across the country as a result of activities of those in government whom he accused of failing in their responsibilities of bringing succour to the suffering masses.

He however insists that working towards prevention of such crimes, instead of remedying it a much better option.
