Abia State Police Command says one Marcel Udeh who allegedly shot and killed his son for eating the last portion of the food in the pot will be arraigned in court for murder upon conclusion of investigation.
The command’s PRO, ASP Maureen Chinaka who spoke with ABN TV on Tuesday narrated that the case has been transferred to state CID for discreet investigation after which the suspect will have his days in court.
The case was lodged at the divisional police station at Umunneochi local government area of the state last week after which detectives arrested the suspect.

Sources told our correspondent that trouble started when the deceased returned home and ate the last portion of food in a pot inside the kitchen.
This however angered the suspect who dashed into his room, brought out a gun and fired at his son, killing him on the spot.
Mr Marcel Udeh was promptly apprehended by members of the community who tied his two hands and placed him on the lifeless body of his child.
Another account of the incident claimed that the suspect used a sharp object on his son, leading to his death.
Udeh, who is pleading for mercy blamed his actions on the devil, saying that he regretted what he did.
