Nigerian Police, UK National Crime Agency Strengthen Partnership To Combat Crime

In a bid to enhance crime prevention and security in Nigeria, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, hosted the Director General of the UK National Crime Agency, Mr. Graeme Biggar, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting, which was also attended by top police officials, focused on strengthening the existing partnership between the Nigerian Police and the UK National Crime Agency. The discussion centered on areas of collaboration, including training and development, to combat kidnapping, cybercrime, and other criminal activities.

The IGP expressed his commitment to leveraging international partnerships to enhance the capacity of the Nigerian Police, while the DG of the UK National Crime Agency pledged continued support from the UK Government to boost the effectiveness of the Nigerian Police in tackling crime.

The partnership aims to improve the efficiency of Nigerian police officers in addressing the country’s security challenges.
