Mad Man Spotted Praying For Abia APP Governorship Candidate, Mascot Kalu [VIDEO]

A man suspected to be mentally unstable has been spotted soliciting for the victory of Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu, the Action People’s Party, APP governorship candidate in Abia State, ABN TV reports.

ABN TV reports that in Ebem Ohafia, Ohafia local government area of the state, he was spotted praying at a branded campaign vehicle of Hon. Mascot a former Chief of Staff in Abia.

Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu

The suspected mentally unstable man prayed in Ohafia dialect while touching the picture of Mascot with excitement, saying he sees him as someone who has capacity to lead the state.

He drummed support for Mascot who is a leading candidate in the race to succeed Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as governor of Abia State.

Mascot, a younger brother of Orji Kalu, a former governor of the state and Chief Whip of the Senate is believed to enjoy overwhelming support among the people of his Abia North region.

He runs a campaign targeted at uniting Abians, which he said is the bane of development in the state.

He is expected to test his popularity at the polls with the likes of Uche Ikonne, the ruling PDP’s governorship candidate, Alex Otti of the Labour Party, and APGA and APC which still grapple with fragmentation and faction, weakening their chances to dislodge the PDP which has been in power since 1999.

Though it’s not certain how far the prayer of the man can take Mascot, it speaks to his grassroots popularity in the 17 local governments that make up Abia state.
