Last two of the four missing children in Umuahia Abia State have been rescued, a police source told ABN TV, pleading not to be mentioned because he does not have authority to speak on the matter.

They were rescued at an undisclosed location on Sunday.

The police had on Friday rescued the first two, a source confirmed to our correspondent without disclosing further details.

With the latest development, all four children have been rescued.

ABN TV gathered that one nurse Blessing has been arrested and taken into custody.

She was arrested in Aba on Sunday. She is said to specialise in buying kids and selling them to unknown persons. She is the second person to be arrested in connection with the missing four children.

ABN TV reports that four children, namely JOY UDOMA (Female, three years old), OGBONNA UDOMA (Male, six years old), CHIOMA KINGSLEY (Female, five years old) and MIRACLE IKECHUKWU (Female, five years old) were abducted last weekend by female tenants who recently moved into a compound in Uwalaka Street, Umuahia.

They had packed in barely three days before committing the crime.

The police while confirming the incident said one Mrs Ifeanyi Udoma Ibe, a resident of Ubakala Street by Ossai Road, Umuahia, reported to the Central Police Station(CPS) Umuahia that she entrusted four children to the care of a new female tenant, including two of hers and her neighbours’.

On the same day, the new tenant made away with the four children, the command said.

Meanwhile, the first four children kidnapped by a Keke rider assigned to take them to school are still missing.
