Ikpeazu Promises Ukwa West Impactful, Effective, Representation In Senate

Abia State Governor and PDP Senatorial Candidate of Abia South, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has assured that he would provide effective and efficient representation at the National Assembly if elected as the Senator for Abia South zone next month.

Governor Ikpeazu gave the assurance during the official flag-off of his Senatorial Campaign in Ukwa West LGA held at Obehie Central School. He called on the people of Ukwa West to vote PDP massively saying that he was committed to making impactful representation and improving on the records of those who were there before, the governor’s chief press secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka said in a statement.

The Governor said he has ensured that his administration favoured Ukwa West people including in the areas of appointments and restoration of electricity in the area among others, the statement added.

Also speaking, the PDP candidate for Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency, Chief Chris Nkwonta, Ukwa West House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Godwin Adiele expressed their commitment and support to the senatorial ambition of Dr Ikpeazu and assured Ukwa people of quality representation.

In their speeches, the Commissioner for Environment, Barr. Sam Nwogu, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Sir Don Ubani, and former member of the Old Imo State House of Assembly, Dame Victoria Akanwa described the event as a declaration of total support for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to enable him provide the needed quality representation as the incumbent Senator has not shown true representation to the people.

The statement added, “They said the Governor has done well as well as restored their electric light and assured him of massive votes next month, saying that they have implicit confidence in him.

“Contributing, Mr. Ebere Emezuruike on behalf of the transport unions, the NATO Chairman, Uchenna Anunobi, and Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ukwa West, Mr. Ndukaku Nwagbara, extolled the achievements of the Governor and said they would mobilize their men for the support to Governor Ikpeazu’s senatorial bid.

“Earlier, the PDP Chairman of Ukwa West LGA, Mr. Kingsley Enyite assured the Governor and other PDP candidates that Ukwa West is for him as Ukwa West is PDP and PDP is Ukwa West. He urged all the people of Ukwa West to support the Governor in achieving his senatorial bid.

“The campaign flag-off attracted many dignitaries including, the Director General, UCHE NDI ABIA CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION, Rt Hon Chinedum Elechi, the Director General, OKEZIE VICTOR IKPEAZU CAMPAIGN COUNCIL, Hon. AC Thomas Nkoro, Chief Ralph Egbu, party chieftains, Traditional Rulers among others.”
