Ibom Developers FZE has stepped up to the plate with a generous donation of ₦2.5 million aimed at restoring electricity in the Ohanso Umumba Ama-Ano Ndoki Community, located in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State.
This act showcases the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development within the community.
The cheque was presented on Saturday by Ms. Grace Inyang, the Community Development Programmes Coordinator, who emphasized Ibom Developers FZE’s dedication to keeping its promises and nurturing strong relationships with the communities it serves.
During the presentation, Ms. Inyang highlighted that this donation was part of an earlier commitment made by the company to support the community’s electricity restoration efforts. She pointed out that Ibom Developers FZE consistently aims to make a positive impact wherever it operates.
She also mentioned the company’s core values of integrity, peaceful engagement, and constructive dialogue, praising the leadership and residents of Ohanso Umumba Ama-Ano Ndoki Community for their cooperation and mature approach in building a friendly relationship with the company.
Chief Godfrey I. Akara, the Head of the Community, received the cheque on behalf of the residents and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ibom Developers FZE for keeping its word. He confirmed that the funds have already been deposited into the community’s bank account and announced that work on restoring electricity would begin right away.
Chief Akara explained that this donation would enhance the financial contributions already made by community members, assuring everyone that the funds would be used wisely and transparently. He described the community as peaceful and forward-thinking, expressing hope for an even stronger partnership with the company in the future.
Additionally, he acknowledged the company’s role in youth empowerment, revealing that over 40 young people from the community are currently employed as a result of Ibom Developers FZE’s initiatives.
