I Killed My Mother-in-Law To Cover Up My Illicit Affairs With Wife’s Sister — Suspect

A 38-year-old man, Jimoh Soewu Jogbo, has confessed to killing his mother-in-law and one other person to cover up his crime.

The suspect, who had been having a sexual relationship with his wife’s 14-year-old younger sister, was caught in the act by his mother-in-law and that he killed her (mother-in-law) to prevent her from revealing the affair.

He said, “I didn’t want anyone to know that I had been sleeping with my wife’s younger sister who has been living with us.

“The bubble blew recently when my mother-in-law caught me having sex with my sister-in-law. I killed her because she threatened to tell everyone. A man saw me while I was killing her, so I silenced him also.”

Confirming the incident, Lagos police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the incident happened at the Akodo area of Lagos on Saturday.

He explained that, “The 38-year-old suspect killed his mother-in-law, but discovered that someone saw him while committing the crime. He quickly killed the man that saw him. Suspect is in custody. Preliminary investigation showed that he killed his mother-in-law because she discovered he was having carnal knowledge of his wife’s 14-year-old younger sister.”
