Suspected Robbers Nabbed In Umuahia After Their Tricycle Ran Out Of Fuel (Photos, Video)

A 2-man gang of suspected arm robbers have been arrested in Umuahia, Abia State capital after allegedly robbing residents of their belongings, ABN TV reports.

They had also successfully kidnapped a male resident and was taking him to an unknown destination.

Nemesis however caught of with them as they were fleeing when their tricycle ran out of fuel, leading to their arrest near World Bank Housing Estate Umuahia.

One of the gang members is reportedly on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police Force over his alleged involvement in the 2019 robbery and murder of a couple in Umuahia who deal on egg.

They have since been handed over to Operation Crush Team where it was discovered that one of them is a kidnap victim.

Several efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Abia State Police Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka for a comment proved abortive.
