Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State, Hon. Amobi Ogah has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of a movie star, John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, and the Nigerian film industry in general over his demise.

Junior Pope died in the late hours of Wednesday after controversy as to whether he was alive or dead after a boat mishap during a movie shoot.

Hon. Ogah in a condolence message on Thursday said Junior Pope’s death is a huge loss to the entertainment industry in the country.

The lawmaker also expressed sympathy to the wife and children of late actor whom he said must have lost their breadwinner.

He expressed sadness that adequate measures were not put in place before the crew embarked on a boat journey, including lack of life jacket.

While urging that measures should be put in place in future before such a journey through the sea, Ogah prayed for peaceful repose late Junior Pope.
