Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday night beheaded a campaign coordinator of the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency, Hon. Amobi Ogah of the Labour Party, and departed with his head, ABN TV reports.
Maduka Zakari, popularly known as Power Zack was beheaded at his home in Uturu at about 8pm on Wednesday in the presence of his family members.
The ugly incident was disclosed to ABN TV by Ogah who expressed sadness over the development, saying Zakari who was the town union president of home branch of Uturu development union was a great asset to the community.
He was also the vigilante coordinator in the community.
It is not certain what led to his gruesome murder as no official statement has been made by Abia State Police Command.

The gunmen were said to have shot sporadically into the air, scaring community members before invading Zakari’s home and beheaded him, then fled with the head.
Ogah therefore called on security agencies the unravel those behind the dastardly act and ensure they face justice.
All efforts to contact the spokesperson of Abia State Police Command, ASP Chinaka Chioma Maureen on the development proved abortive.
The Abia Police Command is yet to issue a statement on the incident at the time of filing this story.
