Governors Summon Emefiele Over New Naira Notes

The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, must be present at a virtual meeting on Thursday, according to the 36 state governors.

The new naira notes that the apex bank presented are the main topic of discussion at the conference.

This information was released on Tuesday in Abuja by Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, the NGF’s head of media and public affairs.

Bello-Barkindo announced that the meeting would begin at 9 p.m. local time on the basis of the invitation that Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State sent to Emefiele.

In order to find a resolution to the persisting problem, the conference promises to stimulate involvement and dialogue between many stakeholders, including governments and civil society organizations.”
