Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti has commissioned NOSTROCOM complex, which houses the SPIN 95.3 FM, ALPHA SPIN TV, Music & Photography studio, and digital opportunities center.

The governor commissioned the centre on Sunday, January 28, 2024.

While unveiling the edifice, Gov. Otti who was represented by the commissioner of information Prince Okay Kalu said “As you may well know our administration is making new ground in the provision of modern and suffocating infrastructure domestically supporting private sector investment and agents as well as open up the state as the next volunteer of excellence in governance regarding public private partnership and so much more.

“Our vision is brand and our strategy is to build on the incumbent and educate the public on the use of public resources and responding proactively to the demands of the public and honesty, communicating our programmes, as a way of building the confidence of the public.

“It has always been our commitment to do things differently in the ways that justify the confidence of the electorate of Abia State who have so much faith in us and trusted us and their future and that of their children to us, we do not take this for granted.

“All this explains our tireless efforts and even the promises that brought us the public’s vote.

“We will be joining the first vibrant media organization in Abia in the business of educating, informing and entertaining the public. We consider every player in the media stage as a very strategic partner. They’ve proven themselves to be excellent professionals and committed to honest reporting.

“Our relationship with the media is a very strong one and it’s gotten even more reward over the past approach of our administration and equally build with an honest satisfied message and a few report from the body, and get feedbacks from the public, we also hear honest criticisms to grow better.

“The media therefore are honest while sourcing story because they provide information and feedback. As I said we are committed to supporting investors and businesses. I encourage every media personnel in this place to remain consistent.”

The Director and CEO of the complex Sen. Austin Akobundu, the Sen. Representing Abia Central, while speaking noted that the organization is part of his campaign promises to provide opportunities for the youth, calling on the youth to take due advantage of the digital facility to develop and promote their potentials.

He called on the state government to partner with the station to enhance quality dissemination of information.

The Senator noted that the facility is not party-affiliated or for a particular consistency, he said it is open for all.

The facility is digitally furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, a digital studio, and a Television.

In a commemorations message the Director NBC repented by the State coordinator She said “Director General National Broadcasting Commission Barrister Charles Ekwe and our zonal director South East, Mrs. Ijeoma Odum, they sent their greetings

“On behalf of the National Broadcasting Commission, it is my pressure to be in commission of this great station which has joined the broadcast industry to add value to the people of Abia, by educating, informing, and entertaining the audience. I do not doubt that being 95.3 fm will come out in the delivery of quality and edifying content that will positively shape the minds life and lifestyle of people of Abia and also promote communication bridge .”

“The commission is with you at all times to render his support where necessary. But remember that it will not be legged on his power of enforcement if the station fails to heed to the provisions of the members of Nigeria broadcasting goal or professionals after several warnings.”

The event was graced by the former deputy Governor of Abia, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, the Senator representing Aba North and South, San. Abaribe, the former Minister for Science and Technology Henry Uko, and a host of other dignitaries.
