Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu will on Friday 13th January, 2023 swear in Hon. Barr. Akujiobi Nkoro as commissioner in the State executive council.
This is according to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem made available to ABN TV.
He said, “The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu will on Friday 13th January, 2023, swear in Hon. Barr. Akujiobi Nkoro as commissioner in the State at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Umuahia by 10am prompt.
“He and all concerned are to be seated before the arrival of the Governor.”
A member of Abia State House of Assembly and minority leader, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu had kicked against the inauguration of Commissioners without screening by the Assembly, saying it is unconstitutional.
