Former Abia Speaker Chinedum Orji Joins APC

Former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has officially defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC), ABN TV reports.

The ex-lawmaker was issued the APC membership card by the State Chairman of the Party in Abia, Kingsley Ononogbu, on Tuesday.
Recall that Enyinnaya, the son of Theodore Orji, a former governor of Abia State had on Monday tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The ex-speaker, who briefed some of his close supporters on Monday night, said the move had become very necessary, following some issues rocking the party.
