The ex-lawmaker was issued the APC membership card by the State Chairman of the Party in Abia, Kingsley Ononogbu, on Tuesday.

The ex-speaker, who briefed some of his close supporters on Monday night, said the move had become very necessary, following some issues rocking the party.

“After careful consultation and personal decision, I have decided to exit the PDP. It’s time to move on with our lives,” he said.

Those present at the formalisation of his APC membership include, Hon Uruakpa Nnadozie, Ag. State Organizing Secretary of APC, Chief Ifeanyi Ekwuribe, Umuahia North LGA Party Chairman and Dr Nathaniel Okoro, the Urban ward 1 Chairman.
