All is now set for the 5th anniversary celebration of a leading independent broadcast station in Abia, FLO FM Umuahia.

FLO FM Umuahia To Mark 5th Anniversary With Free Medical Test, Awards, Founder's Book Presentation

Series of activities have been lined up for the event scheduled to take place in Umuahia, Abia State on Friday March 25th, 2022.

The Station Manager, Sampson Eze while speaking with newsmen said the celebration would commence with a fitness walk, themed “Walk For Good Governance an Participatory Democracy” on Saturday March 19, 2022 across strategic locations in Umuahia, the Abia State Capital aimed to encourage citizens to participate in Governance process.

The walk is aimed at enlightening people to get their Permanent Voters Card, (PVC) and become full participants in election process. One of partners, the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) will deliver a sensitization programme and there will be instant PVC registration.

The Walk For Health will also feature free blood pressure check, free eye test and treatment, he added.

According to Mr. Eze, the walk begins 6am at FLO 94.9 FM premises, 7B Factory road, Umuahia, through some strategic points.

Participants are expected to converge at Where Else Event Center, Azikiwe Road for entertainment and medical checks.

The Programme of activities continues on March 25th at the Prestigious International Conference Centre in Umuahia where a Presidential Aspirant and renowned Pharmacist, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa will deliver the 5th Anniversary Lecture.

It will also feature FLO ICON Awards on individuals who have distinguished themselves in service to humanity and followers of the Radio Station.

The award will be conferred on people who have done very well in their chosen careers to serve humanity and society in general as well faithful believers of the FLO Brand over the years. Most of these awardees were voted by listeners of Flo 94.9 FM, through a poll,” Sampson revealed.

Also part of the event is a book launch by the Chairman and Founder of Flo 94.9fm, Chief Raymond Nkemdirim.

Chief Raymond Nkemdirim, a former Deputy Director of the Department of State Service, (DSS) has been involved in the capacity building of Security Agencies since after retirement.

The book launch is said to be the contribution of FLO FM CEO to the security development of the country which has been described to be timely.

The celebration will be rounded off with a Gala Night on March 25 evening at De Latinos Lounge, BCA road, Umuahia.
