Ex-DSS Director, Chief Nkemdirim Salutes Abia Governor-Elect, Alex Otti On Victory

A former director (operations) of the Department of State Services (DSS) Chief Ray Nkemdirim has congratulated the Abia State governor-elect, Dr. Alex Otti on his victory at the March 18 governorship election in the state.

Nkemdirim in a congratulatory message on Friday praised Otti, a former bank executive for surmounting obstacles to achieve the electoral victory.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC declared Otti of the Labour Party winner of the gubernatorial election governorship contest after he trounced his opponents, Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Enyinnaya Nwafor of the Young Peoples Party (YPP).

Otti scored 175,467, Ahiwe polled 88,529 while Nwafor got 28,972. The LP candidate also won 10 of the 17 local government areas in the state, PDP got six while the YPP got one.

The congratulatory message read in part, “You worked very hard to achieve this victory, surmounting many odds on your path.

“I therefore have no doubt in my mind that you will work very hard to justify the confidence reposed in you by the highly expectant people of Abia State, and indeed, the entire lgbo nation.

“While wishing you a very successful tenure in office, it is my prayer that Abia State will witness a season of unparalleled development and prosperity under your watch.”
