Former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane are both ‘in the running’ to be the next manager of Chelsea.

According to Sport, Enrique and Zidane are now the latest big names to be linked to the Chelsea job, as both men are in contention to replace Potter.

Potter is currently under intense pressure at Chelsea as a result of the club’s poor record this season.

Chelsea is currently tenth in the Premier League table, 14 points behind the top four.

The Blues were also eliminated early from the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, and they are 1-0 down to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League after their first-leg last-16 tie last month.

Despite a recent emergency meeting over the club’s poor form, Chelsea’s hierarchy has repeatedly backed Potter, but they are now beginning to have doubts about the Englishman’s future at the club.

However, according to the most recent reports, Enrique and Zidane, who are currently not in charge of any club, are being linked with the Chelsea job.

Enrique was most recently the manager of Spain’s national team, and he stepped down following their elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in the round of 16.

Zidane, on the other hand, has been unemployed since his departure from Real Madrid in 2021.
