Dan Ashworth, the sporting director of Manchester United, departed the team on Sunday after only five months.
Ashworth, appointed on 1st of July 2024, oversaw transfer spending of over £200 million during the summer window, according to Sky Sports.
“Dan Ashworth will be leaving his role as Sporting Director of Manchester United by mutual agreement. We would like to thank Dan for his work and support during this transitional period for the club and wish him well for the future,” the club statement read.
