Nottingham Forest held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, thanks to two goals from Taiwo Awoniyi.

Awoniyi nodded home after getting on the end of Renan Lodi’s cross in the 13th minute to give the visitors the lead.

Until the completion of the first half, the score remained 1-0.

Chelsea improved after the half and were rewarded with an equalizer on 51 minutes.

Trevoh Chalobah’s pass found Raheem Sterling in the center of the box, and Sterling’s shot deflected into the net.

Seven minutes later, Sterling handed Chelsea the lead for the first time.

At 62 minutes, Awoniyi equalized for Nottingham Forest with his second goal of the game.

Brennan Johnson came on in place of the striker with nine minutes remaining.

Emmanuel Dennis, Awoniyi’s international teammate, missed the game due to an injury.

In 25 league games for Steve Cooper’s team this season, the 25-year-old has eight goals and one assist.
