The atmosphere of Solid Rock Parish of Presbyterian Church of Nigeria in Umuahia Abia State was electrifying as Christians worshipped and praised God during the dedication of baby Precious Ola Chizaramekpere Ifeanyi Okali, daughter of the Director ABN TV, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali who came after 11 years of marriage to his lovely wife, Oluchi Okali.
The dedication on Sunday which elicited joy and excitement invoked testimony of God’s love and faithfulness from the family, who said God has taken away their reproach.
In his sermon, the Minister in charge of Solid Rock Parish of Presbyterian Church of Nigeria in Umuahia, Rt. Rev. Ezera O. Ume expressed gratitude to God for bringing joy and laughter to the family.
Speaking on the topic, “Laughter Of Fulfillment” which was drawn from the book of Genesis 17:17-18, the cleric said though Abraham believed God is capable of doing all things, when he was told his wife, Sarah was going to conceive even after is has ceased being unto her the custom of women, he laughed a laughter of disbelief.
Even in his laughter, Abraham’s faith in God was still strong and unshaken, the man of God added.
He charged all those who look up to God for any testimony to take a cue from Abraham, his example of patience and faith.
He urged that they should adopt “the example of waiting on God, because at the appointed time, every promise which God has made will surely come to pass.
“Every promise is attached to a season or a fixed time when it would take place. So let every child of God that is believing God for one thing or the other patiently wait for God. At the appointed time, it would be done”, he stated.
Rev. Ume expressed gratitude to God for answering the family of Okali, whom he said he has been praying for.
“For me, it is a thing of joy that it has taken place during my time as their Minister in charge. So God has answered my ministry here and I am grateful to God for this family”, he stated.
In his testimony, Mr. Okali said it is a thing of joy to him that God has in His infinite mercy made him a father after 11 years of his marital union.
According to Okali, his experience is not what he is wishing to anyone. He said he was hopeful that despite the series of miscarriages his wife had, that a day would come when God will answer him.
He prayed God to answer all other families who are looking up to Him for a similar blessing.
His wife, Oluchi also corroborated his story, saying while people appreciated her outside look, little did they know she was passing through internal pains which only she understood.
She thanked God for manifesting His presence at last after several predictions predicted that she would bear a child.
The worship did not come to an end without a renowned gospel singer, Dr. Felix Ndukwe adding glamour to it with his gift of singing as the congregation rejoiced.
The popular music band, Dynamites aka Akpoaza was also on ground to activate the excitement of the congregation.
Top dignitaries were at the worship arena, including popular wrester, Dr. Osita Offor, De Ultimate Commander, the Paramount Ruler of Ebem kingdom and Kpoke 1, Ekeluogo Autonomous Community, Ebem, HRH Ezie Ukoha Kalu Ukoha, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Abia State, Kazie Uko, Mr. Lavista and others too numerous to mention.
