Others who switched allegiance are Uduak Odudoh of the Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo federal constituency; Okpolupm Etteh, representing the Eket/Esit Eket/Ibeno/Onna federal constituency; and Okon Bassey from the Itu/Ibiono Ibom federal constituency.

In addition, Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, elected on the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to represent the Ikono/Ini federal constituency of Akwa Ibom, has also joined the APC.

This wave of defections comes shortly after the opposition coalition unveiled the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Wednesday.

Since the launch of the ADC, several PDP leaders have moved to the new party, while others have opted to join the APC.
